A teachers’ workshop on the theme Teaching is a craft

Around 125 teachers of Revel Dale Public School attended this workshop. It was the following points that were dwelt upon in this workshop: Effective classroom teaching is possible only when teacher acquires basic skills through experience, guidance, reflection and diligent efforts. When communication skills, effective lecture delivery skill, assessment skill and skill of connecting teaching content are not strong, classroom indiscipline will increase and students’ performance will remain below par. Teacher who knows the craft of teaching is the one who is keenly observant of every child’s strengths and limitations. A skilled teacher may also commit mistakes but as and when it happens, he accepts his mistakes and never stays in the denial mode. A teacher who knows craft of teaching well , works with complete accountability. Several more points were shared in the meeting with teachers who not only noted down the points but also felt visibly inspired.RegardsRajiv AroraPrincipal
